MIMIMOTTO

Suzie Cuvelier is a versatile artist, photographer, filmmaker, and ceramist based in Paris. A graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Paris and trained in photography at the Gobelins, she has been developing a practice at the intersection of visual art, fashion, and crafts for over ten years.

Working with Léo Siboni, she designs advertising campaigns, music videos, and fashion show designs, collaborating with renowned fashion houses and publishers. Her work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Foam Museum in Amsterdam and the Musée Galliera in Paris.

At the same time, she explores materials through ceramics. In 2023, she founded my studio in Alfortville and created Mimimotto, my own brand of ceramic objects. She enjoys shaping irregular contours, handles sculpted like outgrowths, or pleated and wavy edges reminiscent of natural forms—corals, petals, shells. Each curve seems in motion, as if the object continues to grow after its creation.

Through Mimimotto, she asserts an expressive ceramic, embracing the imperfect. Each piece is unique, carrying its own rhythm, connecting the everyday to the imaginary, the artisanal gesture to an artistic vision.
