Lives and works in Paris. Armand Jalut's painting evokes an iconography that cultivates ambiguity
and paradoxes. He extracts fragments from his collections of images, submits them to movements, combinatorial games, conceives a
ambivalent pictorial device. Having become artefacts, these objects
hyper-figured are enriched with a narrative potential to reminiscences
fantastic and erotic. Armand
exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art of the city of Paris, at the Palais de
Tokyo and ai CNEAI (Paris), at the Center d'art contemporain La Halle des
butchers (Vienna), at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Perm (Russia), at the
Museum of the Abbey of Sainte Croix (Les Sables d'Olonne) and the Abattoirs- FRAC Midi-Pyrénées (Toulouse)…. His works are part of prestigious collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Colas Corporate Foundation (Paris), the Museum of the Abbey of Sainte Croix (Les Sables d'Olonne), the Municipal Fund of Contemporary art from Paris.
