Collection: LAMARCHE-OVIZE
Florentine and Alexandre Lamarche-Ovize (1978 and 1980) have been working together since 2006. They live and work in Bobigny. Their practice combines drawings and ceramics and brings into play the different styles and modes of representation inherited from the history of art and crafts. A visual language supported by drawing, for drawing.
Their work has been the subject of numerous personal exhibitions: WE DO NOT WORK ALONE, 2024 Paris, MASC les Sables d'Olonne in 2023, Le 19 CRAC in Montbelliard in 2022, Museum of Fine Arts of La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2022, Switzerland, Frac Normandie Caen, 2020, drawinglab, Paris 2019, Galerie Lefebvre&fils, Paris, 2019, Galerie GN Vallois, 2017, Galerie Luis Adelantado, Valencia 2017, the art center of Parc Saint Léger, 2017, the grand café Saint Nazaire, 2017. They were in residence at the drawingcenter, New York (2016-2017), at José Noé Suro, Guadalajara, Mexico (2015). Their works are present in the collections of the CNAP, Frac Pays de la Loire, Cité de la céramique in Sèvres, departmental fund of Seine Saint Denis, Frac Midi Pyrénées, and several art libraries.
